Ladies’ Breakfast Club

Thanks to Debbie Macomber and this wonderful book two of my very best girlfriends, Liz and Denise,  and I started our own Ladies’ Breakfast Club. We each chose our own “One Perfect Word,” and we meet for breakfast once a month to talk about how God is using that word in our lives. My word is HELP. I’ll tell you more about that another day.

Yesterday morning we went to a wonderful little café in Pompton Lakes called the Cardinal Café. We all ordered the Belgian Waffle. Yum! They had the best coffee too! Coffee cup Of course breakfast turns into shopping, and Pompton Lakes is a wonderful place to shop, so off we went. The weather was perfect! Sunny and bright, and temperatures that called for just a light jacket. Perfect shopping weather. After visiting a few little shops we headed over to The Salvation Army Family Store. Wow! I didn’t know where to look first. The place was filled with furniture, clothes, dishes, LAMPS . . .

DSC00970 Yep, lamps! I love lamps! This one stopped my heart.  Wait until you hear the price! $2.99! And yes, it works! (I did worry about that when I got it home.) Isn’t it adorable? Check it out.

Happy Spring!

DSC00954
I have to share this adorable and easy craft project I discovered on Pinterest. The project was created by Patty Shaffer. I will provide the link to her blog, where she gives great detailed instructions, at the end of this post. This project is so simple, I was able to make two wreaths in one Sunday afternoon. What a pleasant way to spend a Sunday! The daisies are just pinned on so you can change them out for a variety of holidays. It is very light when it is completed, making it pleasantly easy to hang up. So, if you are at Joann Fabrics or Michaels grab yourself some Fun Fur, some daisy trim, some pearl headed pins, and a foam wreath. Then you’ll be good to go! Have fun!
