Yesterday, I woke up cranky. 
It was Saturday! Why on Earth was I cranky?!
Well, I attempted to follow my usual morning routine of laundry, feed the cats, coffee, sit down with God, but my routine was interrupted - - -I didn’t get up early enough to have some Silence and Solitude - - - SO, still cranky - - - - - - I decided to break the mold. I went shopping! Not that I don’t go shopping, but I seldom go shopping on Saturday when it is not Christmas-time. Saturday is usually the day that I clean my house, but I knew that certainly wasn’t going to cheer me up.
So I set out to do some shopping. 
Stop #1 Michaels 
I needed size 15 knitting needles. I got: new markers 
, cookie cutters for needle felting , food grade rubber stamps , and size 15 knitting needles . I was starting to feel better. I was feeling CREATIVELY INSPIRED. I had visions of sketching my needle-felt designs with my new markers. I had visions of needle-felting my designs with my cookie cutters. I had visions of making delicious heart-shaped sugar cookies and decorating them with the rubber stamps, and, of course, I had visions of the beautiful PINK BLING COWL I was going to knit on my new knitting needles. When my creative juices get flowing I instantly cheer up! 
Yay!!!!
Stop #2 Home Goods
I also got a new coffee mug. 
Then I headed home - feeling better – much better.
When I got home I unpacked my new goodies and found new places for them in my Creative Workshop, aka my Studio, aka my Craft Room, aka our Dining Room.
Setting these new supplies out inspired me to clean and organize my studio just a little. However, this little bit of reorganization and cleaning out really made me feel good, happy, JOYFUL! I was filled with DIVINE INSPIRATION, and I was eager to get to work CREATING!
So, I sat down with a cup of coffee, in my new mug of course, a chocolate chip cookie, my new size 15 knitting needles, and some of the gorgeous PINK BLING YARN I bought at Vogue Knitting Live last week, and I CREATED!
Can you see the bling? There is a smattering of deep pink sequins – not too little, not too much. Now my heart was leaping with JOY!!!!
Then my daughter came home from her day shopping with this -
for me!!! AND she got it for sale! 50% off of a already marked down sale price! Does that not look like the perfect knitting bag?!
There’s more! My husband, son and I went to our favorite local Italian restaurant for dinner,
and I had the most delicious Risi and Bisi!!!! Yum!!
NOW, I know that spending money is NOT the best way to cheer oneself up - - - BUT, you know what - - - sometimes - - - once in a while - - - every now and then - - - it’s okay.

Yesterday I went into NYC with my friend Tammy to attend Vogue Knitting Live! We drove to Weehawken and took the ferry across the river.
I love taking the ferry!
Then we had a short bus ride. And we were there!
Two floors of the Marriott Marquis filled with yarn, yarn and more yarn. Heaven on Earth! 
Although I checked out EVERYTHING, I went to find PINK yarn for Vicki’s from http://vicki-2bagsfull.blogspot.com/2012/10/my-pink-scarf-project-opportunity-and_8.html Pink Scarf Project.
This is what I bought! Can you see the sparkles? It is Bamboo and Organic Cotton. It is soft and sparkly. I bought it from the http://www.newtons.com/ booth. They came all the way from Anaheim, California. They do not sell this gorgeous yarn on their website. It can only be purchased at shows. If they are coming to a show near you, I recommend a visit to their booth. Not only is their yarn beautiful, but the prices were very fair.
So now I need to find a scarf pattern for this beautiful yarn. Any suggestions?

This is a pillow I made for my sister.
This pillow was for http://www.peacefelt.org/. A wonderful project hosted by www.livingfelt.com to promote peace in our world. 
These pillows were a joint project with my sister-in-law Doreen. She crocheted the squares, I put the them together and made the pillows, then we sent them to our niece for her birthday. Doreen is the angel in my life that taught me how to knit and crochet. 
I am the founder of The Lemonade Blanket Project. I collect handmade blankets to be sent to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation. The wonderful people there distribute the blankets to children who have cancer, are presently in treatment for cancer, or who are cancer survivors. The mission of the Lemonade Blanket Project is to let the children know that we all care about them.

I started to blog, about 2 years ago, because everyone told me that I should write a book about raising my quadruplets. I chose to start a blog and called it The Dorm: Now and Then. However, I found myself blogging about many other things besides my kids. So, I started this blog, Sharing Divine Inspiration, which includes all the blessings in my life. I write about my family, my hobbies, my faith.
I start each day at 5:00 a.m. I come down the stairs, put on a load of laundry, make a cup of coffee and sit down to spend time with God. I always have my first cup of coffee of the day with God. During this time I listen to Divine Guidance, Wisdom and Inspiration. I choose to live my life following that Guidance, Wisdom and Inspiration, and here, on this blog, Sharing Divine Inspiration, I choose to share it with you.

The beautiful woman above died of breast cancer 46 years ago.
She was my mother. I was 8 years old. (That’s me in with Mom in the photo.)

Mom’s favorite color was pink.
No, not just any pink.
Fuchsia. Deep, dark, bright pink. Fuchsia is dark and bright at the same time. Isn’t it?
Here is mom on my sister Helen’s wedding day. May 15, 1967. That’s me beside her. I love those sunglasses!
Here she is – having some fun. I’m told the apple didn’t fall fall from the tree. 
Mom passed away, January 5, 1967. 46 years ago yesterday.
I was eight years old.
She was 47.
She died from breast cancer.
Her favorite color was pink.
Before it became the color for breast cancer.
She was ahead of her time.
It’s hard to lose your mom whether you are eight or fifty-eight. There is no good age to lose your mom.
She didn’t leave me alone though.
She left me with these wonderful people. 
My amazing dad,
my sister Ann,
my sister Helen,
and my brother Jim.
A lot of wine glasses. Huh? I guess all the apples did not fall far from the tree. 
You may have noticed that I am the baby in the family. My sister Ann is 17 years older than me, Helen is 14 years older and Jim is 11 years older. When Mom died they were 25, 22, and 19. All terribly young to lose your mom, but they had something I did not – MEMORIES. They had many more memories of mom than I did.
So, guess what these wonderful people did when I turned 40?

The opening letter in the book reads:
Dear Terry,
You’ve always been the baby of the family so it doesn’t seem possible to us that our baby is now 40 years old. We decided that we wanted something very special for you on this birthday and realized that we had the one gift that no-one could give you – the shared memories we have of our mother.
We have put together what we could remember and collected memories from other members of the family. You will notice that some memories contradict others but we thought that we would leave them as each person remembers differently and that is the way life is. We think we have remembered clearly then find that we were missing a bit of information that changes the focus slightly.
We’ve called it “Snapshots of Our Mother” as none of carries the whole picture but hope that it will give you some idea of who she was and what she was like.
This was done with much love and we hope that you will treasure it as we have treasured you.
To our littlest sister from your loving brother and sisters.
Ann, Helen and Jim
They had written to every living member of our family and asked them to send memories of our mother. Every single family member responded. All of their memories are included in this book, and I have the hand written letters they sent my sister. All hand written. No emails. 15 years ago there was not a computer in every household.
Now, this weekend, 46 years since the day mom passed, Ann, Helen and Jim are still with me. Thank You, God. Ann is now 71, Helen is 68 and Jim is 65. I am 54. God may have needed to take Mom home when I was 8, but He blessed me abundantly with a wonderful dad (Dad passed away in 1987) and amazing siblings.
Due to technology every member of our family has their own copy of the book. Ann published it on blurb.com. My children each received their own copy. Now they will know more about the grandmother that they never met than I would ever been able to tell them.
LOVE – life is all about Love, and I have been so blessed.
